All Together Now Release First Round Of Acts: Father John Misty, Hot Chip, Ben UFO

The first line-up for Ireland’s latest up and coming festival, All Together Now, has been released today with more still on the way, but it’s already shaping up to be an interesting weekend already!

All Together Now started last August and has become a huge hit around the country, with many people opting to buy tickets for it over Electric Picnic, due to the over-priced ridiculousness it has become over the last few years.

It’s not the first time there’s been a regeneration of festivals in Ireland, with Oxygen being phased out a long time ago, and loads more popping up over the last decade that have been a huge success.

The latest one, All Together Now has a good enough following with people having an air of hope about them while talking about it, hoping that it will fill their festival needs during the Summer without draining their bank account in the process.

The first round of acts was released this morning, and without giving too much away we can already see that this festival will have something for everyone. They have 16 different tents to hold different types of music, theatre, spoken word and comedy.

Joining The National this year as headliners of the Festival we have The Good, The Bad and The Queen, a band mixed with different pieces of other well known groups, such as Albarn who is the creative voice behind Blur and the Gorillaz, as well as Paul Simonon from the Clash, Simon Tong from The Verve and drummer Tony Allen. Punk Poet Patti Smith will also be joining the Headliners this Summer, with many more announced for the weekend.

Father John Misty, Hot Chip, Jon Hopkins, Ólafur Arnalds, Neneh Cherry, Loyle Carner, The Wailers, Lisa Hannigan and Stargaze, Kiasmos, George FitzGerald, Leftfield (DJ set), Little Green Cars, Jose Gonzalez, Fontaines DC, Kamaal Williams, Erol Alkan, Ben UFO, Jayda G, Ships, King Kong Company, The Murder Capital, Pillow Queens, Just Mustard, Junior Brother, Cait, London Astrobeat Orchestra Performing Talking Heads have all been announced.

It won’t be long before the next round of acts are announced, with less than six months to go before the August Bank Holiday weekend begins.

Tickets are still available for the gig and you can buy them here.
