The Unmissable New Year’s Eve Parties In Dublin This Year!

New Years Eve, a night of reflection, anticipation, and a whole lot of stupid mistakes. The night always seems to have some kind of underlying reluctance, that everyone shares going into the New Year. The night is filled with all sort of pressures, who are you going to kiss when the clock strikes ten? What are you going to say when people ask about your resolutions? What are your plans for the New Year? Why does everything have to be somehow miraculously organised after spending a week in a food coma?

I can’t answer them questions for you, but here’s something I can give to help one decision get a little bit easier..Where are you going to go for New Years Eve?

Dublin is hosting a number of top class nights, as well as some low-budget grooves to carry you into the new year, and here’s a few to pick from.

New Year’s Festival Dublin.

For the seventh year running MCD will be organising a night to remember right outside Custom house. The night has seen many great acts, and this year it won’t let us down. Gavin James, Huson Taylor, Wild Youth and Inhaler are all set to bring the crowd into the new year. Tickets are still on sale at 29.90. You can find tickets here.

 

New Year’s at The George

Who would pass up on a night out in the George, ringing in the New Year with Bunny and Phil T Gorgeous, along with some very special guests. Smack bang in the center of the city, this will be the perfect place to go after having a few early drink and food in the surrounding, out-standing restaurants. Tickets start at 13.66, andearly bird tickets will allow you to skip the queue, so no need to worry about getting there early.

 

McGowna’s Masquerade Ball – Phibsborough

McGowans has alwasy been known to put ona good party, with cheap drinks, and who doesn’t love a masquerade ball on New Years Eve? The event will be spread across three floors, with a DJ on each one. You can bring your own mask, or get one there for free. Tickets for this event are only ten euro and you can buy them at the door, as well as online.

 

New Years at the Wright Venue – Swords

Of course the Wright venue have something on for one of the biggest nights of the year, and this year their theme is very intriguing. Mad Hatter’s Tea Party. Tickets are 20 euro and you can book group package deals as well.

 

Mexican Mascarada – Xico’s

Tickets for this event are only 20 euro eith some of the best DJs inDublin making an appearance. Complimentary Prosecco and canepés will be given to guest who arrive early, as well as being able to get yourself a mask. Their confetti canons will get you into the mood for 2019!

 

New Year’s Eve with District Magazine and The Building Society – Wigwam.

One Night Stand presents New Year’s Eve at PYG and Powerscourt.

“After another crazy summer in Ibiza for the Game Over crew at Amnesia, Pacha and underground favourite DC10. The Irish and Ibizan collective team up with PYG to roll their brand new party concept “One Night Stand” into Dublin as the first stop on it’s global tour at the massive PYG/Powerscourt centre on NYE December 31st.”

Gatsby’s New Year’s Eve Speakeasy Party – Iveagh Gardens.

If you’re looking for something a little fancy to impress your girlfriend – this is what you need. There will be a live Swing band, DJ, cocktails and prosecco at the door, with canepé and tiny little desserts. Dress up in your best 1920s gear and celebrate the roaring 20s at this magnificent party. Prices start at 69 euro, but should definitely be worth it if you’re willing to splash the cash.
